The Barents Sea is a shallow and highly productive river, located between Norway and Russia. It is a realy good resource for fishing and oil and gas experation.. The Barents Sea covers roughly 1.4 million square kilometers which is 542,000 sq miles. While the Barents iis technically part of the Arctic, the North Atlantic Drift makes it the warmest of the polar seas, allowing for significant fisheries and oil. It is named after Willem Barentsz who is a Dutch navigotor. The collision of warm Atlantic and cold Arctic water creates an extremely productive marine area, supporting over 20 million seabirds in summer, polar bears, walruses, and whales etc
