The Norwegian Sea is a 1.38-million km marginal sea around the North Atlantic, it is located between Norway, Iceland, and Greenland. It is characterized by deep basins. The average depth is around 2000 meters. It has very high productivity, and warm currents that keep it ice-free all year long. There is a very cucial marine ecosystem and economic hub, it supports massive fish stocks and provides rich oil and gas resources. The tides in the sea reach up to 3.3-3.4 meters high. The sea is a good source for fishing, and for oil and gas.
