LESSON

The Volga River flows approximately 3,530-3,690 km, making it the longest flowing river in Europe. The Volga is divided into three parts, the Upper, Middle, and Lower Volga. It flows southeast through forests and steppes before emptying into the Caspian Sea at a point 92 feet below sea level. The Volga river has the largest inland delta in Europe, covering an area with hundreds of channels and supporting a rich, and diverse ecosystem. For about three months each year, the Volga River freezes over for most of its length which is a lot of non available water.
